Who was artist at Railfest?

There was an artist at the swap meet in the Museum in Durango. He was working on a fantastic painting of Red Mountain, CO, and I waited a while to talk to him. But some lady had his attention and after about 20 minutes of checking back, he was still more interested in her than other people who might want to talk with him. I had to give up so we could get some food and head back to Rockwood.

Anyone, who was this artist? There were no signs or any indication of who he might be.
