C&TS events on 08/29 & 08/30 ...

Hi, All -

Enough tickets have been sold, and donations received, that the Tribute to the 'Summer of Seventy'
Volunteers - the re-enactment of the First C&TS Train into Chama on 09/06/70 - is definitely a 'GO'
for the afternoon of 08/30; this will be followed by a brief ceremony and a Bar-B-Que near the depot.
More than two dozen of the 'Summer of Seventy' Volunteers and their spouses have responded to our
invitations to ride the train, which will be turned at the wye during the Bar-B-Que and spotted at the
depot for an evening photo shoot with lighting by Michael Ripley.

Terry Ross and Ernie Robart will be giving a presentation and slide show on 'The Beginnings of the C&TS' in the large back room at Foster's Hotel at 7:00 p.m. on both Sunday, August 29 and Monday, August 30. Those wishing to participate in both the photo shoot and the history presentation should attend the latter on Sunday evening, as these two events will overlap somewhat on Monday ...
