Another Edith query

I was looking on Google Earth at the area John Bull had pointed out as the mill site at Edith. In the photo you can make out a group of lighter marks on the ground.
Can someone identify, or guess what they were? One old mill I got to measured (Bodega, Ca) had posts about 15 feet apart as these seem.
