Knotts 50 years of steam!

Well the weekend of celebration is almost here as i compose this. Knott's Berry Farm's railroad equipment will begin its 50th year of operation within a amusement park setting.Knott's has always been a quick location to go see such historical items in this countries history.Knott's still has loco D&RGW loco #340, R.G.S. loco #41, R.G.S. Goose #3,R.G.S caboose#0402, R.G.S. BUSINESS CAR B-20, D&RGW PARLOR CAR the "DURANGO", D&RGW COACHES 310, 325, 326 and the car that also a parlor car the"CHAMA".Knott's also has a gondola now and dont forget my freight favorite the boxcar! If your reading this and would like to soak up some more history go to KNOTT'S Friday 1-11-02 or Saturday 1-12-02 and enjoy the displays,sounds,railroad visuals that have made going to Knott's such a unique experience! As far as I know the ceremony and driving of the spike will be on Friday at Calico Square around noon.I asked Knott's and they should have both cars the "EDNA" and the "DURANGO" rolling behind the train for those days!!! THIS HASN'T BEEN SEEN AT KNOTT'S SO ENJOY!
