Just so it doesn't go unnoticed, today, January 12, is the 70th anniversary of the opening of Knott's Ghost Town and Calico railroad. That means it has operated longer than most of the common carrier narrow gauge railroads in the US. It also marks the point in time both C19s, at 140 years old, will have been California residents longer than they were Colorado residents. Pretty remarkable really.
