Phil Lomax found some more prints in the Jack Alexander Collection, and forwarded them to me so you TVRy folks could enjoy them. They’re a bit of a mystery because they were in a separate envelope and credited to Bob Richardson. Now I thought the DPL had all Richardson’s photos, some 20,000+. But these shots weren’t found when I searched the DPL site which is why I’m posting them here. Maybe Bob sent prints to other fans like Jack and they weren’t just duplicates. Let me know if anyone has thoughts on this, and here they are.
An unidentified TVRy mogul backing up with a caboose, presumably at Sheffield Junction, PA.
Two boxcars at Sheffield Junction. Note the speeder. Possibly August 9, 1941 but that date based solely on similar Bob Richardson prints at the DPL.
There’s a prototype for everything. Narrow gauge Heisler 19 using a chain to tow Reading boxcar 100040.
A sad scene, TVRy locos in what appears to be the scrap line. Would anyone have an approximate date for this? Would it be later than 1941?
Cheers,
Ralph
