Time To Plow Snow In The Mountains Of NE Oregon

Despite the prediction of 90 degrees today, in N.E. Oregon, I just want to remind everyone that winter is just around the corner. What better way, than with a winter narrow gauge logging railroad scene. These guys on the Oregon Lumber Co. plow train, were essential in the struggle to keep on logging during the winter months. The engine behind the plow is 42 ton Heisler #104, with Shay #102 bringing up the rear. The scan is from the SVRR Archive.
