A video was posted awhile ago, and this is one of the NG dinky locos used on building the Lyons Creek fill on the CNR in British Columbia.
Apparently two of the engines have theses boxes on the fireman's side of the cabs. Anyone know what they were for? My guess would be coal, since they had no bunkers.
Any other guesses or definitive answers appreciated.
Thanks,
Ralph
