An ASTM committee (F24) is currently developing a new standard for inspection and maintenance of steam locomotives that are not regulated by the FRA, especially those at museums and tourist railroads. As many readers of the NGDF have good knowledge of the subject, I am posting the information here so that anyone who might like to be involved and contribute can do so.
