NNG 1865 Standard Gauge CP&MRR VR

A group of us have been doing massive research, working with museums and private collectors to re-create the City Point & Military RR in Virginia right near the end of the Civil War. I'd guess we are about 1/2 way, building the route in Open Rails (a much improved successor to MSTS).

Here are 2 of the locomotives that worked out of City Point, created by Tim Muir. The Lt. General Grant and the May Queen.

A wider view of the engine terminal, the shop has full interior.

And an overview of the warves and a few of the many ships.

All the soldiers are presently being added, along with a few civilians. We have about 7 miles of the line laid out now, with about 9 more to go. Fortunately, we've been lucky enough to acquire many military maps and hundreds of photos of the line and area around it.

At this point, many museums are going to use the route to display how it was and it will likely be payware for others, as much of the research has been costly! We are hoping to finish it in roughly 2 years...
