Over the weekend we spent another day southwest of Flagstaff hiking some of the CAR. After the last trip I wanted to try and connect more of the segments that we had spotted driving out on the last trip. So there will be more mapping work ahead of me to connect the dots. We did spot a few more artifacts from earlier times along the way.
A very simple cover and a joint bar.
We found a few ties that had both a fluted spike and then a more common spike next to it. I wonder which variety they preferred!
We also found a few pieces of wire rope with some of the hardware still attached.
We must have stumbled onto a camp site with multiple old stoves.
This heavy cast pulley was my favorite spot for the day.
