There recently was lots of speech here of moving large engines around but smaller narrow gauge engines could be traded. Bob Richardson was once very successful making a three way move which place the #191 at the CRRM where it is now on beautiful display at its best location.
I have some candidates but does anyone one else care to guess what engine is in the worst location for its history? I imagine the museums won’t be happy about the picks but it might give them some publicity that might be helpful for that locomotive. We should not pick temporary locations while the engine is being worked over. Don’t extend into Standard Gauge such as the DL&W camelback at St. Louis that is still under legal attempts to get it to Scranton, but that is a good example.
