A bit late, but here are a few shots from the last Como Workday (June 27)
Work on C&S gondola 4319 continued with Norm Acker leading a crew working to remove the used railroad tie endsill that was installed in 1987. A couple of truss rod nuts refused to cooperate, their rebellion will be put down next time!
With a little help from the track crew's backhoe, the roundhouse crew pulled the old engine from the 20-Ton Plymouth and set the new engine in front of teh locomotive so that the process of installing it can begin.
Klondike Mines No. 4 is receiving some side rod bearing and shim work.
The track crew made progress towards both Denver (right) and Breckenridge (left)
Thanks to Steve and Alex, the turntable lead (depot to turntable track) is now at the correct height at the turntable. (It was several inches too high at the start of the day)
