The West Side snow plow was moved from the Yosemite Mountain & Sugar Pine Railroad to the NCNGRR museum on Saturday, May 23rd. The snow plow was one of the several railroad cars burned or damaged during the Railroad Fire in August 2017. The YM&SPRR board of directors voted to donate the snow plow so it could be restored by the museum. The National Railroad Historical Society has provided matching grant funding to help the museum complete the preservation of this important project. We are projecting that the trucks restoration will begin around September and the wood framework being done through the winter in the shop. The blade and ballast tank should go on by May or June.
