I'd be interesting in hearing opinions as to how the 493 is performing for the D&S. I seem to remember hearing that one of the reasons that the 497 was traded to the C&TS many years ago was because it was thought that she was hard on the roadbed. And/or that she was hard to fire (?). If so, has that opinion been changed by the 493? (Obviously, the latter would not apply now.)
