Around The Loco Depot: Refugees and Displaced Residents.

English Electric DH's cluster around Dunedin Loco Depot, having been displaced in most of the North Island by waves of GMD DA's.
The DH was same as the DG but had a 3,000lb greater TE due to heavier axle loading on the motored axles of the A-1-A Bogies, accomplished by merely moving a casting in the Sideframes.

Weston Langford captured the transition in January 1964.

Over on another road waited WF 844, which will be scrapped in October the same year. And yes Russo, these were designed for Suburban duties. smiling smiley
