A 428 and B303 at Ngahere in 1963.
The B 4-8-0 was built by NZR Addington piston valve and a modified Walschaerts valve gear in 1901, later in 1948 rebuilt with new superheated boiler 200 psi, grate area of 26.4 sq ft. TE 21,200 lbs. All weather cab and rear cowcatcher for Branchline service.
