This is a major book about the Atlanta, GA equipment dealing company. It is well worth the price for anyone interested in locomotives, and the gauge is specified where known.
One example: East Broad Top #11 2-6-2, was sold to SI&E but no further owner is know even though it was at the time the government was rounding up any 3' engine it could find for WP&Y and other war facilities.
Company location as shown by the location in the record of where the engines were shipped. The Hoosic Tunnel & Wilmington RR (of MA/VT) got three engines throught SI&E but the ship to location was shown as Malone, NY. many mile distant, likely because the Master Mechanic lived in Malone, and he later became the manager of the Deerfield River RR which was a connecting logging railroad that served the Mountain Mill, on the HT&W.
So sometime you need to read between the lines, so to speak.
