Meg Merrillies F 180 of 1874 returned to steam in 2018 and is operated at the Museum of Transport and Technology (MOTAT) in Auckland. This Robert Stephenson Engine operated on the Wanganui Branch for all its working life, see: Once Upon A Branchline: 29. Wanganui Branch.
