Part I:

FIRE DESTROYS A NARROW GAUGE CABOOSE.
This afternoon about 3:30 o'clock, a Denver & Rio Grande caboose standing on the side track near the old depot, caught fire from some unknown cause and the wood work was entirely consumed. This car has been in one wreck, was overturned some time ago near the stockyards in this city and had just been sent out of the shops after being repaired.
The fire department was soon on the scene and had a stream of water playing on the fire. but were unable to save the framework of the caboose.
