The former FES yards and shops at Sonsonate have been turned into a railway museum. Here is some coverage of the grand opening from a local TV station, as posted on U-tube. And you can bone up on your Spanish as well.

The former (and much more modern) IRCA shops in San Salvador have also been turned into a very nice museum. And apparently there is one steam engine in more or less serviceable condition in San Salvador.
