Safety Weekend scheduled at SVRy

Sumpter Valley Safety Weekends

SVRy has scheduled two weekends this year for Safety training. Attendance is mandatory for members planning to volunteer in restoration, maintenance, train service or any other positions this season. Plan on attending two full days either weekend, or split attendance between two weekends.

In the past invariably a few members have family or business events preventing attendance. We believe Safety is the highest priority and decided this season to offer additional opportunities for training.

Even if you do not have definite plans to volunteer this season, as a member you will find attendance informative and interesting, and you may become inspired to volunteer.

The dates for Safety Weekend are:

April 24 & 25
May 1 & 2

Trainings begins at 0830. Lunch will be provided for members. We usually finish around 1630 Saturday and Sunday.
