With a little over a month to go until the 2nd Annual Presidential Photo Special, the train is filling up. This deluxe six car Tuscan-Red consist will be pulled by a freshly shopped K-36 class locomotive.

March 30th Availability Updates:

Nomad: Just added to inventory this morning to accommodate increasing numbers and had just 6 seats by late afternoon.

Cinco Animas: 8 seats still available.

Alamosa & San Juan: Approaching half-full each.

Prospector: Hot buffet service with unassigned table seating.

Rio Grande: Open observation with unassigned seating.

The Maintenance-of-Way crew is closing in on Elk Park and expects to begin the final push into Silverton on the upper 7 miles next week after the remaining snow in the slide chutes is brought down. The extreme snow year will yield some amazing photo opportunities on this first through-trip of the season!
