Over the past couple of days our J&L Narrow Gauge Railroad steam crew test fired the Jones & Laughlin Steel Porter 0-4-0T No. 58's boiler three times, culminating with the third test fire in which we had no leaks, both injectors functioned and we blew the standard grade crossing signal before shoving her back into the enginehouse to slowly cool down. The steam delivery pipes were not connected so there was no possibility of trying to move the locomotive, which will happen later after we blow out the passages with steam.
