Cascade Bridge History

What is the history of the Cascade bridge over Cascade creak on the C&TS?

Who designed it? When was it built? What type of bridge was there before the current steel structure? What’s is the load capacity?

I find this bridge one of the most interesting structures in part because of the curve and in part because of the single steel piers.

Any information would be greatly appreciated.
