Busy in the yard.

There should be some good switching this weekend as the Chama Yard prepares for C session.

The P-car across from the carpenter shop is being restored into a regular box car (not a stealth rider), at the request of the RR, for storage.

They may move a boxcar on to track 1, by the carpenter shop, for general repairs and shelving for a new paint car.

The hi-side gon down by 483 will be going back together as a new rider gon.

You may notice 2 steel sills being installed under the Trex flooring, this is mandated by passenger usage (the steel, not the Trex), and not normally done in restorations.

And, rumor has it, the school freight train will head for Antonito tomorrow with the day train (double header).

As I heard it, in rumor control, they're considering running the next school out of Antonito to combat the fire hazard. Just scuttlebut.

That may or may not be subject to change after the rain today, which was nice, but, didn't last long enough.
