Getting out of Durango in 1930...

If I was a resident in Durango in 1930 and I wanted to travel to Salt Lake City, what would my quickest option have been?

I suppose I could have travelled the D&RGW to Alamosa and then through Salida and Tennessee Pass?

Or same thing but from Salida to Montrose via NG and then west?

Or RGS to Ridgway and then D&RGW through Montrose?

Or would automobile/bus be a better option by then?

Seems like Durango was a pretty isolated place back then...
