C&S in the later years, did they have a gas mechanical engine?

On page 242 of Colorado Rail Annual 12 there is a picture of the Como Yards on the C&S in July of 1938 with 3 locomotives and what appears to be some sort of gas powered locomotive to the right of them. Is there any information available on this engine? It appears too large to have been a speeder and even has adjustable coupler pockets similar to what you would see on the small early Plymouth engines.
