June 7 -10, 2018
Hosted by the NCNGRR Museum and co-hosted by the Southern Pacific Narrow Gauge Historical Society.

Come join in for 4 days of Narrow Gauge presentations and activities as we explore the NG Railroads of the high mountain ranges and lower foothills of the Sierra Nevada Mountains. Through presentations and hands on activities we will venture into the history of these railroads and discuss such topics as locations, structures, equipment, purpose, and the people who kept it all on track.

You will be able to examine and inspect up close the many pieces of narrow gauge equipment at the museum and even get an opportunity to ride in one of 3 fully restored West Side Lumber caboose's.

We will have steam. Ex.Sacramento Brick Co. #1 Porter, some of you may remember her from Hal Wilmunders Antelope and Western Railroad. She will be running with both West Side and Cherry Valley Railway rail cars and 2 Plymouths, one being West Side #1.

Friday will be all "West Side Lumber Day" with train rides and switching equipment in the yard, rail car rides, WS related presentations, and of coarse our West Side Lumber Tri Tip and Chicken BBQ.

Other topics will be lumber flumes, equipment colors, logging trestle construction, restoration of NG equipment, Sierra Valleys Railway, modeling narrow gauge, and much more. Presentations will be held in the NCNGRR restoration shops. Presentations are conducted by some of the most noted NG Historians on the west coast.

We will also be discussing the complete operational restoration of NCNGRR Locomotive #5 which has already begun.
