Howdy all,
Work has been continuing a a good pace on DRG 168 here at Cumbres and Toltec with several milestones passed. Cylinder boring is complete with both bores having trued up nicely. New piston rings are in process and soon this part of the engine will be ready for reassembly. The new main reservoir is also almost complete, built to match the original as closely as modern engineering requirements allow. This is a real riveted tank with through rods and will be installed shortly. The tender tank is also in the process of being painted and will be done soon.
As of right now we are looking into making brake shoes for 168, and are looking for drawings. These shoes should be the same or similar to the shoes used on other DRG smaller power. If anyone has any leads please let me know at:
