Another USGS Ransome photo from 1900 showing the Silverton Northern from bottom right crossing through today's Silverton Lakes Campground, then curving to the left as it passes through today's tailings pond #4, then the powerhouse site, and where my new building sits, then curves to the right and heads straight towards the Silver Lake powerhouse, and the spur that crossed the river to serve the power plant can be seen, then the track goes left around the knob where the intrepretive site is today, the roof of the Stoiber's Waldheim mansion can be seen behind this knob (another great Sundance caption opportunity), then the Silver Lake Mill complex is to the right side of the river and the track heads into the gorge next to the river. The county road climbs out of the river bed just past Waldheim and can be seen in its current location above the gorge, and Howardsville is just out of the picture. A really superb picture considering this is what we are working on rebuilding:
