NM Capital Outlay for C&TS in Danger

Well, at noon today the NM Senate voted down SB 113 which contained outlays for a variety of capital projects, including $400,000 for C&TSRR trackwork. Main reason was that in a session when previous outlays were being rescinded, why authorize money for additional "new" projects.

However, the legislature expects to have a special session, probably starting this Wednesday, at which the capital outlay bill would be reconsidered along with other items.

Tough session. Yesterday when I checked there was still $1 million for the C&TS, then this morning it got dropped to $400,000, now "stay tuned."
