Visiting Whistles?

This might be an odd question to ask, yet, does the C&TS allow vising whistles from private collections to be used on the trains?

Thing is, I'm finally going to be heading back to the narrow gauge first week of September and I have a reproduction DRGW 5 chime that is collection dust. I don't have any way to 'play' with it and the nearest steam operation is a trip in itself. I would love to hear it and what better place to hear it in its natural habitat.

Does anybody know?
