I've always been fascinated by engine servicing facilities, roundhouses and backshops, etc.
I'm going to create a home for my 3D K-36 and I'd like to get some feedback on typical enginehouse fixtures such as air-water-steam hoses/piping as well as various forms of clutter that find it's way into these facilities. Roger's shop photos are a great resource (more please?).
I used to have some Alamosa shop photos that Len Madsen printed up for me back in '73 or '74. Man, I wish I knew where those got to, they'd be priceless. I've also found locomotive cyclopedias (I've got 1909, 1922, 1941) to be a great resource for enginehouse tools and fixtures like screwjacks, etc.
Are there any good books out there more focused on engine facilities? How about a source for round/enginehouse plans, geared more toward Colorado NG?
Thanks,
Mike
