492 and rock

Rather than drag this into the other more recent rock slide, I thought I would start a new post about 492.
I was wandering around the Alamosa roundhouse area when I kept hearing a bunch of loud hammering sounds. I noticed a couple of very hard working guys using a very large sledge hammer pounding on the smoke box front of an engine. Come to find out it was the 492 getting a face lift using 490's face.
Date was August 22, 1963.
