nng Manitou & Pikes Peak Cog Steam update

Tomorrow May 25,2016 the Manitou & Pikes Peak will again be operating its 1897 steam locomotive #4 along with freshly painted 1890 coach is the yard area and up the track about 1/8 mile. This will be the press run for the Railway's 125th year celebration happening this year and on june 30th. Public viewing areas will be limited with steam operation around 1200pm-330/400pm. The railway will also be testing also on Thursday May 26th.
Next scheduled steam operations will be June 30th. August 25th, September 7th and October 6th.

In other news on Friday May 27th the Manitou Heritage Center will host a grand opening of 125 years of the Manitou & Pikes Peak railway from 5pm-8pm. This museum is located in downtown Manitou Springs across the street from the former steam locomotive #2 from the railway. The museum is open 7-days a week 1200-400pm and is free.
