C-25 #375

All: I have been pondering an issue and it is time for some input and/or enlightenment. I am trying to place C-25 #375s area of operations as such for the time frame of late 1929. Lathrop mentions a trip made east of Gunnison in the early 20s and after rereading the passages, it appears that the cab was the original long one and not shortened yet. Important tidbit there. Almost all of the photos I have reference to are from late 30s to the 50s and show mostly around Durango. The employee timetables show tonnage ratings west of Gunnison, over Cerro Summit to Montrose and down to Ouray. Therein lies the fly in the ointment, those tonnage ratings. They do permit the locomotive to operate there even though it may not have. The possibilities are certainly enticing to say the least. Paul.
