C&S 1009 was on the highway today

Imagine my surprise while driving through Wheat Ridge on I-70 Eastbound today when I saw C&S bobber 1009 on a lowboy headed West! I actually had a little panic in my head as I dialed the CRRM, and was relieved to hear that 1009 had taken part in a Christmas parade in downtown Golden this past weekend, and it was on its way back to the museum. Turns out that CO 58 was closed, so the driver had to do a big loop south around Golden to get it back to its home rails.

They were setting up the unloading tracks and timbers when I arrived at CRRM, no camera available, so sorry, no pictures (gotta start keeping a camera in the truck...). It's probably back up by No Agua tank safe and sound by now.
