Last Call

Shannon Douglass, known to some at "Tad, Ted or Tuttles" received his last call from that Crew Dispatcher in the sky. Tad volunteered at the Colorado Railroad Museum in the late 1960's and early 1970's. He worked for the Ashby's on the Loop and at Central City. His love for Railroads took him to employment on the D&RGW as a carman for a short time. He hired out for UP and ended up as a conductor in Cheyenne. We worked together on the UP and for a short time on the Cadillac & Lake City when we were both cut off of UP in the early 1980's. He was bad-ordered for his back in 2007 and was on a Railroad disability ever since. He worked with us some when we restored the 3985 back in 1978-1979.

He was born on Pearl Harbor day in 1953 and got his last call on March 6, 2016.
