Stirrup on snow plows

On the K36's with snow plows (and probably other classes) there is a "L" shaped strip of steel that drops down from the front of the runningboard. I assume it's there to act as a stirrup. It looks like the lower end probably bolts to the back of the plow but I can't find a picture that confirms this. I'm wondering if anyone has a picture showing the lower connection or can confirm that that is where it is fastened.
