I have this very faded memory from my 70's excursions to the EBT. Wheelsets (that is two wheels connected by an axle) lined up on a track(s) in the Rockhill yard complex. The interior sides of the wheels were stamped either D&RG or D&RGW or both. So this brings up the following questions:
A. did I actually see what my mind now says I did or have I drunk too much Coke over the years and turned my mind to swiss cheese?
B. if my mind is correct, what was stamped on the interior side of the wheels? D&RG, D&RGW or both.
C. if they did exist what happened to them?
And no I could not be confusing two different locations as I have never been to the Colorado NG. Now Dave J. and Fritz have postulated a possible source of the wheelsets below, ex D&RG flat cars that had been used by an amusement park. So, I am adding a fourth question:
D. Where these wheelsets from ex-D&RG flatcars? And if so, what was the ultimate disposition of the carbodies?
