In 2005, the White Pass & Yukon built a superstructure for a speeder on top of a Fairmont chassis and engine. Here is a photo of the resulting speeder in question: [th03.deviantart.net]

According to rumor, the chassis and motor were originally intended for the Sumpter Valley, and the Sumpter Valley changed the gauge from standard to narrow, possibly in connection with the transfer to the White Pass.

Does anyone know the actual story regarding the origin and transfer of this speeder/speeder chassis and engine?
