The wooden trestle that was blown up in "A Ticket to Tomahawk" was supposedly on an abandoned branch line of the RGS. It was not Lightner Creek, which was used for that action shot with #20 as the "Emma Sweeny." According to the shooting schedule, the shot at Lightner Creek was done on August 11, 1949, the third day of production in Colorado. The action with the actors around what is called "Massacre Creek" trestle in the script was filmed September 17, 18, and 19. Blowing up that trestle was the last shot done on location before the company returned to the studio on September 20. The shooting schedule doesn't include specific locations. Those would have been on the daily call sheets for the cast and crew. Does anyone know where the blown trestle was located?
