That moment you realize a book in your collection once belonged to someone famous

I recently purchased this well-thumbed copy of R&LHS Bulletin 44 (1937) from an online used book dealer, sight unseen. So imagine my pleasant surprise when I unwrapped the package and saw the name stamped on the cover!

This issue contains Laurence Breed Walker's seminal article on the Billerica & Bedford 2ft gauge in Massachusetts. That's the reason I wanted it, and no doubt also the reason that Mead wanted to hold into it himself!
