Boston Coal & Fuel Company Railroad

Jason's recent post about hiking this grade got me to thinking about putting together an overlay map of the line. I photographed the valuation maps several years ago at the National Archives and the images have just been sitting around. Having some spare time this evening I put together the following map of the entire line. Starting from the RGS connection just west of Durango all the way up to the coal mine. What I found interesting is that there is a pretty significant error in the map up at the mine. Laying it down on the aerials as drawn results in the loops and the mine tipple being totally out of place. My next step will be to get the loops in the right location and add some photos.
