A nice article in the Baker City Herald about Gerald Latham who was our final EFD participant, the 76th since the programs creation, for 2009. His father operated number 19 on the White Pass during WWII, and this is the second time he has attempted to run number 19. The first time in 2007 was unsucessful as the locomotive lost a brass out of the trailing truck the day before he was scheduled. This time went great though, and a good time was had by all. It's always neat to see how these machines can bridge the generations.
