On my recent travels I had occasion to stumble around what I believe is the C&C roadbed on the Nevada side near Mt Montgomery. I apologize for the picture quality: between compression, a camera in need of maintenance, and a stray fiber that landed on the sensor during a lens change, these fit the category of "a bad picture is sometimes better than no picture"
I need to present these in a couple of messages.
I'll add my thoughts but I'll leave it to the experts to correct me if I'm wrong.
This first set seems to be rail dated 1880 from Darlington Iron something.
It might be from the Tonopah and Tidewater but the date seems early and the rail too small
