Some time in the 70s, when I read a plaque on the side of the #192 Baldwin about the WP&Y. Most of my interest stemmed out of the Rebel Railroad, and I actually visited Alaska before Colorado/New Mexico.
Any way, my mom is from Gatlinburg, Tn, and I've lived there since 1990.
The other day, elsewhere, someone asked after a locomotive that had been in downtown Gatlinburg as a billboard for the Rebel RR, and I said none had ever existed.
Here it is, of course, in full evidence:
The question is, does anyone recognize this locomotive, or know its present whereabouts?
The photo is circa 1963.
