"Due to my wife’s medical condition, I am taking a leave of absence from my railroad activities. I almost lost her last week and this weekend had to admit her to a nursing facility. It was the most difficult week in my life. We just had our 50th anniversary and had to take her to the ER the day after our celebration.



All my book and article projects are on indefinite hold. I will have limited time for email and internet activity. I will be working from a laptop in her room and all my files are on a desktop PC and external drive at home. I apologize to those who have sent me questions and did not receive a reply or answer.



I think everyone will understand that my wife is my life and I will give her all the time I have and boiler colors are of no importance to me now."
