East Coast Adventure

A few weeks ago I posted a request for rail locations for a trip myself and my wife were doing flying in to Boston and then driving to Halifax Nova Scotia, to visit my brother, and then back. Thanks to all those who provided suggestions. We didn't get to do everything, but we did quite a lot, and at the risk of boring everyone here are a series of photos from some of the places we visited.

First up on this series, was the Boothbay Railway Village in Maine (we also visited the Trolley Museum at Kennebunkport, but I'll skip the photos from there).

To begin we see one of theior Henschel 0-4-0 Tanks No. 12313 built in 1913 and train at their summit station. The depot building is from Thorndike on the former Maine Central

Next up we see the train passing the duck pond on a circuit round the village.

The Village recreates some nice scenes including this filling station.

Next we're off to the WW&F
